WORKSHOPS
FORCE offers a variety of workshops and programs about consent, supporting survivors, creative activism, sexual and domestic violence prevention messaging and community art and social practice. We can also create custom presentations to fit your needs. Bring FORCE to your campus or your organizations for an inspiring workshop about upsetting rape culture and supporting survivors in our communities!
- A Guide to Upsetting Rape Culture: activist toolkit about how to create a culture jam and other art activism
- Creating Consent Culture on your Campus: working group to develop ideas about how to promote consent
- This Is Consent: a sex-positive discussion of consent and supporting survivors through the lens of FORCE’s past work
- FORCE: Upsetting Rape Culture, 2010-2015: artist talk about FORCE’s various artistic projects since its inception in 2010
- Space for Survivors: focus on the Monument Quilt and how to lead a Monument Quilt workshop
Colleges and universities bring FORCE to campus for many reasons, including sex week, Take Back the Night, Domestic and Sexual Assault Awareness months (October and April), Freshmen Orientation, Artist Talks, and displays of the Monument Quilt. Professional organizations bring FORCE to trainings and professional development gatherings for staff and volunteers.
Students say…
“FORCE inspired students to generate these conversations and begin thinking about how to change not only their lives but also the culture that surrounds them.”
Lindsay, Maryland Institute College of Art
“I learned so much in the workshop today. For the first time I felt comfortable to admit that some of my sexual experiences weren’t consensual, and that wasn’t ok. It was really validating to be part of this.”
Anonymous, University of Maryland
